The short version: Branchdial runs on your computer. It collects no personal data, has no telemetry or analytics, and only talks to the git remotes you configure.

The app

Branchdial is a desktop application that runs entirely on your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server operated by us. The app does not include telemetry, crash reporting, analytics or advertising SDKs.

What the app reads

To work, Branchdial reads the repositories you open, your git configuration (including aliases, so it can offer to import them), recipe files, and its own settings. All of this stays on your machine. Settings are stored locally in your user configuration folder.

Network connections

Branchdial makes no network requests of its own. The only traffic comes from the git commands you run, such as fetch, pull and push, against the remotes you have configured. Credentials are handled by git and your credential helper; Branchdial never stores passwords or tokens.

This website

This website does not use analytics, cookies or tracking pixels. Your theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. Download links point to GitHub Releases, where GitHub's privacy statement applies.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and note the change in the repository's commit history.
